my personal goal is to take a much more pro-active approach to photography and all aspects of art, in the forthcoming weeks/months/years.
my work is not "pure" i openly admit, to enjoying pushing the limits of a picture through adobe photoshop.
although i will shoot models, i prefer situational photogrpahy, i find it difficult to produce when i'm forced to produce. i'd much rather be out with my camera and happen to see. that's what makes me happy, and that's why i do take pride in my works. i hope you understand, and i hope you like my creations.

i love DeviantART, and certainly used to love it's community, it will always hold a special place in my heart.
the high-res uploads, the helpful admin, the active chat and forum followers.
alas, i simply do not have the time to maintaining multiple photographic accounts, and although the quality of uploads is poorer, Facebook helps me reach a much more targeted audience and will become the mainstay of my uploads until further notice.

I find myself drifting in the pale white monitor glow. museless, these have been the darkest years of my life. learning to love yourself isn't an easy task when you're unwilling to face your darker side, and the lighter side finds the lighter side pretentious. i've been taking pictures again, not so much making art as just taking pictures. my love for photoshop has awakened with cs5... which is good. if you get a chance to move to it, doso, it's a stunning piece of software...
i cant fester another year. this apathy is both insidious and poisonous.
i would reccomend checking out the track on my "listening to" it will dissolve walls. soothe

Your photos are terrible. They all have great potential, but something is wrong. It seems like you have a good camera according to your specs on the photos, but all of your colors, and the quality in general seem to be putting me off. I dunno what it is. Maybe you're not shooting in a high enough resolution among other things, but it looks really awful with tons of potential. I mean, the angles & subjects are there, it's just the actual the machine & development that's not getting it through.
My gallery contains photographs ranging from a £100 5mp fuji compact camera bought in 2003, through, a 7Mp 350d and 18-55 kit lens, and ranging to the latest from a 7d and a range of f/1.4 lens' (no L series lens' as i cant afford one)
they're all shot in jpg. and edited after shooting.
i'm a hobbyist photographer, completely self-taught, not a professional, this gallery was not made overnight, but in fact, includes photographs, and manipulations from when i was 17. 7years ago. everything from camera/lens quality to post-processing quality should be timelined if you view the gallery in "browse" and not featured.
and finally, i enjoy, and take criticism well, and i thank you for there's definately a compliment in there <quote> "looks really awful with tons of potential" </quote> I mean, the angles & subjects are there and you seem to be only criticizing the eventual quality of the shots. i can assure you they're shot to the maximum quality of the camera i owned at the time, and saved as maximum quality jpg's. back when i started i would post in 800x600, as it was all the monitor would show effectively. nowadays i post in 1200x800. to my knowledge, and on both my monitors, they're the best quality and colour that i can put forward. but if you have a creative input on how to improve image/colour quality across the gallery or on any individual peice, i'd be more than happy to hear it.

i've some stuff, i would probably put up on flickr or something, but it's not good enough to put up here. i know the standard of this gallery aint amazing, but it's not too shabby either, so i dont just wanna stick in snapshots, or tourist shots. i'm missing a good model, i need someone i'm comfortable with, once i've one of those, i'll upload shots galore. shot 16gig of photo's in the last 3 days. just nothing i wanna say, you HAVE to see this. wbu?
